The David Brown Tractor Club of Australia was formed in 2009 by a small group of DB enthusiasts. The Club holds it's Annual General meeting on the 3rd weekend in September each year usually at the Deniliquin Collectors Club Rally, Deniliquin, NSW, but we have been invited to attend other Rallies on this weekend. Since its conception members have attended Rallys from Biloela & Ayr in Queensland to Colac in Victoria, and beyond.
As our membership is so geographically spread, this website will act as a point of sharing and accessing information for the Club's members. The David Brown Tractor Club of Australia is about the preservation of all things 'David Brown' and welcomes input from other enthusiasts. If our knowledge can be shared and broadened through the use of this website, then it is an achievment.
In April 2016, the David Brown Tractor Club of Australia had over 80 members - not bad for a Club that was only 6 years old.
Our most successful exhibit (in terms of getting our faces out there) was at Mudgee National Rally in April 2013. We had our club marquee set up and spoke to many people. A raffle was held, and some Club merchandise was available. Thanks to our members who helped to "man" the exhibit, you helped to make the event a huge success for our Club.
We also had a DB display at the Hawkesbury Showgrounds for the Sydney Antique Machinery's Rally in September 2013. This was a great success, with members answering general DB queries, and 23 DB's on display. The following weekend we held our 4th AGM at Deniliquin. It was great for our members to get together, and to greet a few new faces.
We are held a display at the Orange Field Days in October 2014 and also at the Warragul Field Days at Lardner Park in April 2016. These two events proved to be a huge success for our club. Many thanks to the members who attended and to those who exhibited.
In September 2016, we held a very successful display at the "Clarendon Classic" Rally at Hawkesbury Showgrounds. This is an annual event organised by the Sydney Antique Machinery Club Inc. It is a region that utilised many David Brown Tractors & Implements for market gardening in the past.
Due to COVID any events that had been planned for 2020 were cancelled, Hopefully we can get back on track later in 2021.
The David Brown Tractor Club of Australia is compiling a register of DB tractors (members & others) in Australia. Covering Meltham (UK) made tractors 1939 - 1988.
